Well when u are not very talented offensively, u get beat physically. When things start going bad real quick, u start feeling sorry for yourself, and u get beat mentally. And when u are consistently inconsistent these kind of things happen. Pretty simple.

I am not sure why you would think Troy's bullpen was depleted coming into this game. Far from it. But the Cajuns did have a bit of an advantage with the starting pitching ... Geith simply did not have it today.

I was listening to the game on radiopup, driving back from East Texas. I agree with you on Geith. I wanted him out of the game as soon has Martz led off with the HR in the bottom of the 4th. As good as he has been pitching, he simply did not have it today. His command was off at the outset and was leaving many pitches up. Every inning was a struggle ... it was only a matter of time before something really bad happened. It does not happen often, but I think Pierce outcoached Robe today. Pierce had the right idea when he did not let McCain go more than four. This set the tone for the remainder of the game.

But overall, this was simply a pathetic performance by the Cajuns today. The mental errors were plentiful ... and this was the most frustrating thing for me. The Cajuns need to put this behind them and come out Tuesday ready to take on Rice. Losing 2/3 this weekend to a Top 50 RPI team, the Cajuns need to beat Rice to take the 2/4 I said they needed from these four games. It will be difficult as Nicholson will not be on the mound this time. But it is a home game and they need to get it done.
