Ted Lyles, is one of the heroes of UL basketball who helped bring the basketball program out of the depths of the death penalty years and to the brink of major success. (more to be added later) 1974-75

Ted Lyles daughter; Kimmie Lyles, is a sophomore at the University of Louisiana. Kimmie is a member of Louisiana's 2005 Lady Cajun tennis team.
