That's ziggy's, Ton's is on the corner of Morgan and pinhook in Broussard, by the church. Ziggy's has a very good burger also. Owner is a big time Ul supporter also.

It's a bar that serves food not a reStaurant that serves booze. I think it's nice to have a option where you don't have to worry about children. It's also all bar tops, no tables which usually means no children.

I gotya, but this child could probably eat soup off of your head & not spill a drop. If they make our top five we're talking about $200/yr. worth of burger business just on the boy alone. And that could be in one stting depending on how hungry he is.

I'm starting to get a picture here. Between Chop & Crazy Cajun, I'm thinking you guys have done every burger place in town that's worth doing. Yall should make your own top twenty list & let me see if I've been there or either expand the search. Yall should really be as descriptive as possible why the burger is that good though. Thanks.

Not with the boy. I used to like Morvant's but kind of go burned out on it. It's been thirty years now come to think of it. Starting to get hungry.

I used to go there for lunch. Do they still have the stove that sits like a hundred patties at once? the old stomach is growling. I don't recall if they served fries or not.

Yep. No changes to the original place since I've been going in 1974. They did add a boiling building with a patio/canopy next door for crawfish season & outdoor eating.

Well don't hold back on valuable info. Give us your twenty best & what is unique about each one. You could be saving lives by doing this. Just imagine how much unnecessary animal fat one could consume in a quest for the perfect burger? While you're at it could you maybe do a review on fires & onion rings? BTW, what is your favorite tailgating food?

I want to say they were running about $16-$17 for a three pound order.

My son & I started a quest to find the best hamburger in the Lafayette area yesterday. We are looking for any suggestions for the ultimate hamburger & we have tried many places in lafayette in the past, but this is a new personal quest that we will be performing over the next couple of months.

We have already done Southside Bakery, Judice Inn, & Ground Patti. The only rules we have are it must be no further west than Crowley, no further north than Opelouses, no further east than Henderson, no further south than Abbeville, no further southeast than New Iberia. The hamburger must cost no more than ten bucks & must not have meat on it other than ground beef. The burger has to be loaded with the place's natural condiments & can have any special sides that make that place's burger stand out.

For anyone making recommendations, please give advise on how you like your burger & why. Thanks in advance.
