That place across the street from Old Tyme Grocery.

    Whats that place called?

    Great burger. _
Bonnie Bell's? They moved downtown. Are they still closed downtown? They did alright when they were by Old Tyme.

    Nope, its not Bonnie Bells.
About to go check it out. I live a half mile from there. Like NP said, there may not be anything there.

But about a year ago had a burger at this place that was a contender.

Try these two. They are in the same shopping center with Southside Bakery and in my opinion, both burgers are better than Southside's. Lafayette bowling lanes, the Hebert Burger. The meat is from Hebert's in Maurice. Logan Farm's Honey Hams, the Kobe Beef burger. Enjoy!

    Peppa Mellos. I miss it.

They had a deal for UL students. $5 gets a you a burger, fries, and a drink.

    Glorious times.

I went to go play golf today in Crowley and stopped there.

I hate to say it, but I agree with you on this.

Fat Pats moves to #1 after what I experienced today at PJ's

This is bringing up an old thread, but I thought the subject worth it. Someone at my office handed me a brochure for a place on West Congress near Guilbeau called Cajun Burgers & Dogz. I was told they got the recipe for the original Burger Tyme Cajun Blaze and are duplicating it. I know I've read about many that have referenced this burger which I also enjoyed, and although I haven't been there yet I plan to pass and give it a try. I'll post a result of the visit when it happens, although I don't know if anything could match how good my memory tells me the original Cajun Blaze was.

We have already done Southside Bakery, Judice Inn, & Ground Patti. The only rules we have are it must be no further west than Crowley, no further north than Opelouses, no further east than Henderson, no further south than Abbeville, no further southeast than New Iberia. The hamburger must cost no more than ten bucks & must not have meat on it other than ground beef. The burger has to be loaded with the place's natural condiments & can have any special sides that make that place's burger stand out.

For anyone making recommendations, please give advise on how you like your burger & why. Thanks in advance.
No longer Southside Bakery, now Twins. Judice Inn tops, is addictive and big UL supporter.. AND Still no fries.
