"It’s us," Rivers said. "The more you look at it, you see it’s us. (Saturday) the turnovers were just ... I mean, we were just throwing the ball out of bounds. It wasn’t the defensive pressure.
"It’s an amazing thing. I really think half of it is in our heads. That’s why I didn’t mention it to them for two days. But that obviously didn’t work. I’ve tried everything. I really have. You’ve just got to keep focusing on it and keep making notice of it and working on it. That’s all you can do."
And Rivers doesn’t want to hear about the turnovers being the product of kids handling the ball.
"Delonte (West) is in his second year, and Orien (Greene) is a rookie, and they’ve been great," the coach said. "Our point guards have played as well as any other point guards in this league. Delonte and Orien have been phenomenal. It’s everyone else who’s been turning it over, and that’s what we’ve got to correct."

Did this Doc Rivers play for Marquette against the Cajuns on a VERY cold night in Milwauk???Originally Posted by NewsCopy
Playing Mr. Orien Green more would solve some of his problems...
FYI...The Celtics will be playing Friday night against Philly...This is the first time I've seen that Orien has been on the National spot light.
It'll be fun to see how succesful he is guarding Iverson.
Orien ranks #16 in the NBA in steals per minutes played
Thanks for the info. I will be watching.
When they game was on the line between the Celtics and Lakers. Greene gets the job of guarding Kobe for the final shot...and guess what CELTICS WIN!!! Great to see Greene getting that type of opportunity. I was listening to game night on ESPN 1420 and they gave Greene his props for shutting down Kobe when it counted.
I saw it on the "tube". He played well. The Lakers tried pressuring him, but to no avail. He was on Kobe long before the final shot that Kobe took, and that was the difference IMHO.Originally Posted by Clutch0364

Fantasy News
News: Orien Greene started in place of Delonte West (groin) and had seven points, four boards, three assists, two steals and a three on Tuesday.
Impact: He guarded Gilbert Arenas and the Celtics beat the Wizards in overtime, so we're going to call this a very successful night for the rookie. (Wed. Mar 8, 2006)
