I always thought pine trees were an eyesore...I would be ok with replacing them with oaks & magnolias.

Agree. They belong on the campus of those northern technical schools.

I couldnot agree more.......Acadiana = magnolia, cypress, oak, pecan.....but not pine.

No doubt...Oaks would be cool like softball but in the case for baseball it works.

The pines are written in! Singing about non-existent pines in our Alma mater would make about as much sense as continuing to call it "beloved old Southwestern"! Lol.
