Thank you very much. I am interested in the project not only because it involves the University but I went to Hamilton Lab School (now Hamilton Hall) first through eight grade. I saw Denbo, Bancroft and for that matter Angelle constructed during my years at the school. Many fond memories of my times spent on that play ground. Also I was in the Pride of Acadiana and spent many an hour out on the same grounds.
Being an Engineer it is also very interesting to watch the construction. (I had no involvement in the design of this project) Generally, it is very satisfying to watch a project I may have envisioned in my head and then transferred to paper and then actually be constructed and completed. Eventually people will use the project whether, whether it be used to get to and fro; to live in or on; or to provide basics for a civilized life. (that's why they call it "Civil" Engineering). The people who use a project daily have no idea who designed the project nor do they have any idea what was involved in building the project. For me I like it that way. I feel sorry for the people that designed this particular project because they are no where near here and can't follow the project on a daily basis.
It was, and still is, my intention to chronicle the project on a weekly basis from the beginning to the end. I typically take the photographs and post on Saturday.
