Date for Independence Bowl set

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — The 2011 Independence Bowl will kick off at 4 p.m. on Dec. 26 from Independence Stadium in Shreveport. The I-Bowl will be played at 4 p.m. on a Monday for the third-straight year but will be played on Dec. 26 for the first time .

In prestige, maybe, but where would you rather spend a day or 2, Shreveport or New Orleans. Thats an easy answer for me.

I dont care where it is. I wouldn't mind spending a day or 2 in Shreveport if it meant more money and better exposure for our school.
