ULM is the only regular season champion I can remember the Belt having that did not make the field of 64, mainly because their RPI rank that year around 100.

Coupled with an RPI rank of 63? Yes, I am confident the Cajuns would get an at-large bid. Though, to get to a tie for 1st place would result in an RPI rank considerably higher than 63.

I think the Cajuns can finish third in conference and make the field with an RPI of around 50. It simply depends on how many conference tournament upsets occur (the number of "stolen" bids).

Correct. But they also had other things out of their favor. For example, record vs. RPI Top 25/50/75.
