I would bet that LSU's RPI is in the top 16 when the rankings come out tomorrow, so LSU could be a number 1 seed.

LSU won't host unless they are one of the Top 16 teams as determined by the NCAA Softball Committee, and right now, there are MANY other schools ahead of them in the south. My guess is that both UL and the Tiggers will be on the road for Regionals.
The SEC could host 4 or 5 Regionals, but I don't see one of them being in Red Stick.

Well, LSU did host last year and in terms of RPI, I doubt that there will be "many" schools ahead of them this year. Florida has lost their Pitcher and has played poorly lately, so they will continue to sink. Georgia and Alabama are certain locks, but if LSU beats Tennessee two out of three this weekend, I believe they will host.
Anything can happen. There's still a lot of games to be played. Two weeks ago I I didn't even think LSU would make a regional.
You don't want a part of us right now, Hawk! We are so good we beat Alabama 2 - 0 without even getting a hit. lol.
I'm still hoping UL gets the regional. It would be a shorter drive for me and I would love to see Yvette play in Lafayette for her last regional. (Before someone chimes in, I said last REGIONAL, then play the Super Regional in Baton Rouge).
It could happen. Remember when LSU was number 3 in the country (2004 maybe) and the NCAA sent them to Lafayette?
I know we beat Alabama earlier in the season, but LSU did just sweep Alabama. 2-1 (14 innings), 3-1 (10 innings) and 2-0. So in all fairness. I can see why they are back up there in the rankings. But they play #6 Tennessee this upcoming weekend.
Back to something more interesting...
