They can put a bid on a sand lot. If you don't have a press box you want have a regional. A platform and tent just want cut it. The conferense tournament is all we can look farward to unless things change. It makes you think that you have a conspiracy here. Fifty miles to the east might be saying, let's stop the contruction (money) so YG can go out in her last regional.
Don't forget this: http://ultoday.com/node/2261
Could be a factor.
Fun, a lot of times, that works against you. I know in basketball, the person representing a university can't be in the discussions when that school is being discussed.
And if UL's RPI doesn't get better than the 30's other schools will question his influence on other members if UL is given a host site strictly because he is part of the selection committee.
Your exactly right. An RPI in the 30's isn't going to cut it. If we are sitting in the top 20 in RPI and LSU is in the neighborhood then I think we have two things in our favor. We have traveled to LSU twice for regionals and beat them and we might just get a slight tip in our favor because Scott is heading the committee. However Scott's influence will be indirect for sure. As noted by another poster he won't be in the room when the Cajuns are discussed.
While our stadium isn't where we all would like for it to be I guarantee you that we can meet the NCAA requirements if we chose to do so. The press box requirments are as follows:
A minimum of six phone lines and internet access must be available for use at press row (radio, Internet, phone, fax).
Press Box: Institutions are required to have minimally a three-sided, covered press box with internet access.
