    Ragin' Cajuns

Smells like purple and yellow pooh-pooh to me!

UL Basketball I am fans of both, but Cajun at heart

I grew up just southwest of New Orleans and watched LSU growing up, attending many Regional and Super Regionals in baseball. But, I came to UL to get away from LSU and I instantly fell in love with Lafayette. I am a Cajun at heart, but would like to see both teams do well. I would like to see LSU win a game in the tourny, but of course, UL will go to the sweet 16 baby!! Give us that 12 seed and we will have that 5 seed trembling. All national internet readings and radio say what we already know. The Cajuns will give fits to any team we play. Nobody can match up with our guard size and athleticism. I just hope we don't get screwed again with a 13 or 14. Right now, we may not like it, but we have to root HARD for LSU, NC State, Kansas, and Vandy.
I am tired of the one-and-done with our talent. Let's show the country what a RAGIN' CAJUN is!

Just my two cents but in all the years I have been filling out brackets (about 5), you can always count on a 12 seed in the sweet 16. I believe last year was Nevada and remember Valpo, they were a 12.

So were the Zags, but there isnt much difference in a 13 seed. You still have to get past the same teams to get to the sweet 16. By all means, I prefer a 12, but isnt the end of the world with a 13.

"Not true. The use of "LSUA&M" or "LSUA&MBR" is neither endorsed or encouraged."

Why not, staff? It's their name.

The obnoxiousness of Tigerdom makes it very hard for a true Cajun Fan to pull for them, however I do find myself doing that after The Cajuns have done their thing.
My THOUGHTS ON THEIR STAND AGAINST OUR UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA RAGIN CAJUNS IS THAT THEY ARE AFRAID THAT WE CAN AND WILL OVERTAKE THEM.....NOT OUR PROBLEM BUT THEIRS

'can and will'? Snuffy, all the honest tiger fans i know [admittedly few] feel like our cajuns have already overtaken them. they have, reluctantly, been forced to face the facts: our roundballers have won one game in the dance since coming off the death penalty, the baseball team has made it to omaha once [in their heart of hearts the tiger fans know it was pure luck that the year the cajuns got there that it was the tigers who actually WON the thing], and the football team is improving in leaps and bounds--4 and 7 is better than 4 and 8, a monumentally huge step forward in the winning percentage department [one tiger fan i know is terrified the cajuns will drop the 11th game off the schedule this year and ascend to 4 and 6--he fears that will herald the end of Top 20 recruiting classes for the tigers, as all blue chippers will head to lafayette to 'do the bustle']. Tiger fans that i know harbor no illusions as to who the REAL power in ncaa athletics is in this state: LOUISIANA'S RAGIN' CAJUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 'Today the sun belt, tomorrow the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

It was luck too that our softball team was ranked 8th in the country and was a 5 seed in the regionals. Also in the regional with Arizona and Oklahoma. But LSU A&M, OWNS UL in Softball as we are "LSU A&M's _____" as post on delphi. They are soooo good because they went to Softball World Series, and we didnt! Whatever, so why dont we play again? What is UL's rank? How many Softball CWS did LSU A&M go to in the last 11 years? Anyway, get your head out of your ~~~!

First of all, i'm one of the biggest ragin cajun fans out there, but if we want LSU to treat us with respect and class, we ought to do the same, no matter what excuses we think we have to NOT do that. "Do unto other as you would have them do unto you."

Anyhoo, my real reason for posting is that one of the basketball asst. coaches came into the shop today and he told me that with a rpi of 40, they'd get an 11, 12, or 13 seed. I personally think 13 is low, and i'm hoping for a 12, prayin for an 11. anyhoo, have a good weekend, and look forward to seein summayall at the softball doubleheader tomorrow.

    God Bless.

UL Basketball I love it when we make em' sweat!

"Whoever draws the Ragin' Cajuns is going to have some long nights trying to find a way to contain their dangerous attack. Denver was able to overcome it twice during the regular season, but had no answer once Tiras Wade and Chris Cameron, college basketball's biggest 3-point specialist at 6-10, 270, caught hot streaks."

    Check it out!
