Hoover is in Birmingham, hardly a hard place to find, or a cultural wasteland, Midland is as big or bigger than Lafayette, and culturally similar.

Couldn't you agree with that? How about comparing apples to apples, like any major or semi major metropolitan area in the country.

This is completely off point of the main post.

Ok. it's time for somebody/bodies to pony up. I'm sure someone knows what the average home attendance was last year. I'll wager with anyone who wants to that Hud averages at least 5k per home game more than Bustle did. Hell, make that 6k more. $100 to RCAF & $100 to Ragin Pagin by the loser.

Thanks for the 411. While I would agree that Birmingham is not a hard place to find, I disagree that it is not a cultural wasteland. Unless you are the curator of the John Henry iron ore museum.

Midland, TX? And if so, culturally similar?

By the way, per the 2010 census, Midland, TX is about 9,000 persons smaller than Lafayette.

But, I do get your larger point.

Since this is Hud's first season & the last was Bustle's last season. That sounds like a fair comparrison.

Hell, if you use a Jerry Baldwin season for comparison the spring game tailgate and attendance exceeded anything the Rev had in-season.
