This will probably be the first time in a very long time that Cajuns won't be returning an ALL Conference caliber pitcher.

C - Lucroy, Hawkins, and a JC transfer
1B - Tatford (or LF), Casbon
2B - Hicks, Derouen, Craig, or Long (possible CF)
3B - Santiago, Van de Keere
    SS - Parker, Bourque
OF - Landry, McCarthy, Bounds, Martin, Preciado, Rasmussen, or Tatford

SP - Blue, Glass, Moody, Sanders
    Bullpen - Cottrell, Beasley, ???

RHP. Hopefully Major League Baseball doesn't like him more than the Cajuns.

I almost forgot about Hawkins. Baseball America has him in the top HS 100 players. Casbon was one of the toughest outs all fall.

Alot of incoming freshman play very competitve travel schedules in the summer and falls seasons in high school, against other topshelf players headed to D1 programs. The adjustment they make in college is mostly mental. They get to school with plenty of game.

The cupboard is far from bare.

According the the National Collegiate Baseball Writers (NCBWA) poll the Cajuns are listed at fourteen (14) for the week of Apr. 6. Last week they were 15 while the previous week the Cajuns were listed at 17. The NCBWA poll is posted on Wed. of each week.

If I am not mistaken, the other Lucroy coming in is Jeremy. He is a pitcher. From what I have heard, he can bring it in the 90s. I hope it is true & cant wait to see the Lucroy to Lucroy combo.

I know it is hard to get quality teams to come here because they know we would kick their ~~~.
It takes two to make a dance. Who amongst the "big names" want to come here and get waxed ( reference Nebraska). Hell, most of them don't even want to play us at their home place (reference lsu a&m- br; the Green Weenies). I feel certain Robe tries to concoct a schedule that is entertaining and demanding, but if they won't play you, what can you do??

    It's true. He's good!

Hope That The Draft Will Not Take Jeremy, Would Like To See Him Come Here For A Least 3 Season . Kids These Days Go Straight To The Minors And Almost Always Fail. Your Really Learn The Mental Side Of Pitching In College That's So Important To There Development. As For Tougher Scheduling Tulane Doesnt Even What A Home And Away Game Go Figure? As For Lsu A&m Br They Want Us To Go There And Dont Want To Come Here(the Tigue Is A Tough Place For Opposing Teams To Play). I Here But Dont Know How True It Is, That We Might Play A Home And Away With Lsu-just Hered?
