  1. UL Basketball Hold Your Tally, Lady Cajuns in Finale

Hall's program achieves another milestone by routing ASU

DENTON, Texas - Admittedly it's a short list, but fans of Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns are watching the best women's basketball team in school history ... by a considerable margin.

Coach J. Kelley Hall's squad dusted off Arkansas State 61-49 in Monday's Sun Belt Conference Tournament semifinals, tying a school record with the 22nd victory of the season and reaching the conference title game for the first time in UL history.

Hats off to the Lady Cajuns of Ragin' Cajun fame. You were something special to behold.

You can't control what your opponents do before or after you play them. In future years teams the Lady Cajuns defeat will go on to have good season. If this was that year the Lady Cajuns would be dancing right now.

Always remember you were good enough to dance.

Ultimately it was the regular RPI that kept you out but you know what the RPI doesn't measure? How good you REALLY are and if you did the best you could possibly do under the circumstances. Under the circumstances the RaginPaginIndex "RPI" ranks you #20 in the country.

Do you realize (tournament aside) that if an WNBA championship team were inserted into this season the regular RPI would say they were not good enough to dance.

What the regular PRI fails to analyze is this, did you take your SOS and do what you were supposed to do with it. If you take the RPI and divide it by the Strength of Schedule you find the Lady Cajuns did all they could do and rank in the top 20 performances of the season.

You did all you could do. We love the Lady Cajuns.

No need to hold their heads low they played greatall year long and you can see the foundation in place for our program to take off in the next few years. Congrats to Coach Hall and to our Lady Cajuns.

I'm sure the ladies and coach are disappointed with the performance against MTSU. They could have given MTSU trouble, but it goes down like that sometimes. Can't be disappointed with the season though. Unbelievable. By the way, how many times have you seen a team in uncharted territory choke on it? The Cajuns choke point would have been after they secured the Western Division. One and done in the tournament. BUT THEY REFUSED TO END IT THERE. Amazing season. Amazing turnaround. Best team in history.
