LAFAYETTE - Louisiana (14-1) moved up three spots to No. 19 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Top 30 poll which was released on Monday.

The No. 19-ranked Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns senior third baseman Dallas Morris was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week, as announced Monday by the conference office.

It marks Morris' second weekly honor in his career. Morris, a second team All-Sun Belt selection in 2004, was named Sun Belt Player of the Week on April 12, 2004.

It is also the first Player of the Week award for the Cajuns this season. Earlier this year, Kevin Ardoin was named the conference's Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 14.

Last week, Morris, a preseason 2005 Brooks Wallace Award candidate, led the Cajuns to a 4-1 record and a tournament title at the First Hawaii Title Rainbow Baseball Classic in Honolulu.
