I believe it was Lakefront Arena. They also had bottle Heineken.

I was there this past Sunday and here's a sample of what they regularly serve on weekends:

Chicken wing (5) or catfish (3) box with fries $5.00
    BBQ chicken thigh quarters-------------------- $4.00
BBQ hamburgers or pork chop sandwich $3.00
(real pit bbq, not baked & dipped in Kraft sauce)
    Chicken & Sausage Jambalaya box------------$4.00
Hot Sausage Poboy (with or without chili)-----$4.00
    Hog dogs (with chili) ---------------------------$3.00
    French Fries, Nachos, popcorn ----------------$2.00
    Can soft drinks ---------------------------------$1.00 _
im sure we could find PLENTY of fans to come up with a better menu than what we have served right now at the Tigue/Lamson Park. and it could be sold at MUCH lower prices. how bout an old fashin boycott until things change, so the students and lower income folks (i fit into both categories for the next 8 months) can afford to enjoy a game and eat some ballpark food. i know for sure im gonna be eating at home before going to another ball game, because 10 bucks for a crummy burger/powerade is not what i call a worthy meal at Lamson park or the Tigue. and because i have such lower income these days, i dont even think about buying beer at games. i didnt even get to enjoy beer for the latter part of the basketball season...that was a bummer for me. so, just give us a break on softdrinks and food and im sure most/all of us will be happy.

agreed! i don't know how much the other beers are, but seriously a quart of abita amber at a cajuns game for under 10 is a fair price. a 12 oz cost at least 3.50 if not four at any bar in town. The large draft at bww is in the 6.50 to $7 range, two bucks mark up for the "at a game" fee is reasonable.
What i don't get is why we cant have something like a jambalaya at games, it's cheap and can be made mass production style. I think home and away fans would dig on that and give us one more thing to be known for, not just the normal crap nachos and burgers.
We are already nationally known for our food in the parking lot of cajun field, why not inside cajun field. I don't mind forking 7 bucks for some food but why not make it actual food? Festival international seems to do fine and average prices are 5 bucks a serving.
All of our ancestors were poor as _____ cajuns and figured out how to make some pretty damn good food, duplicate that

I guess my comment was a little biased being that I don't drink Abita. Paying $8-9 for a large domestic DRAFT beer is a rip off. No matter how you look at it it's ridiculous.

Next time step up to the big boy line and support a local company and a local product. While i like Abita Amber, the Purple Haze at basketball games is well worth it. Its very hard to find Purple Haze on draft....

I have the same problem. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I feel like Cajun sporting events should be showcases of Cajun culture. We work hard to keep a friendly atmosphere at the games, we play Cajun music, and we eat Philly cheese steaks?

Our games should be the Mecca of concession stand food.

Trust me, the food is as good as the menu looks. Well-seasoned, well cooked. It's the quality of food that you would skip eating supper or lunch at home to eat at the ball park. I know several people there who prepare the food and they are VERY clean and sanitary. And very courteous

Would it be wrong if someone set up a food stand right outside the TIGUE and offered better food (appropriate for for our culture) and at a better price (better than a 7$ crappy burger)? Real fresh nachos, hot dogs, jambalaya, fried seafood poboy or seafood dinner with fries, or anything better than what we got now.If that doesnt prove a point to the admin that we don't like what the product is in the concessions, then I don't know what will...
