They shouldn't even call that crap they serve nachos, its a bag of chips with cheese. Freaking terrible. I yearn for the shrimp and fish guy!

    (1) Mr. Personality he is not. Nor is the operation he manages the cleanest or most sanitary in the world.

    (2) If I walk up and see him, I will return to my seat. By his presence, I will save a lot of money.

    (3) At LSU last week, they had BETTER food at more reasonable prices. I hate to copy anything they do, but if copying anything, concessions would be it.

It seems we have too many people here trying to dip in and make some money.

I hear you on that but Mardi GRAS ball is once a year type deal, how do they expect a family of 4 to do that for 15 home basketball games or 26-30 home baseball games. That's a lot of money plus the cost of season tickets, college athletics should still be family oriented.
this isn't the NBA or NFL, either way besides all that sodexo sucks bad and the bald headed jerk needs to go, he walks around like his name is tigue Moore

    Someone will have to.

Just like Authement was proud he didn't use a computer . . . Scott Farmer has stated on many occasions (so many times I'm a little suspicious ) he doesn't read message boards.

They have contracts with these people. The contracts wont be broken. I wonder...does UL even have a say so in the concession contractor in the dome? maybe its Greg Davis you need to wear out on this one.

Gotta say, though...on that basketball11 game winning streak...that $14.50 I spent on the Jumbeaux Mic Ultra and 2 bags of roasted peanuts was damned well worth it.

    UL 1984, 1999 . . . . Re: Concession Prices

I've been living in baton Rouge for about the past 26 years and usually make about 6 or 7 Southern baseball games a year. Their baseball booster club handles concessions and cooking for all baseball games. However, they don't always serve all these items on weekday games. I was there this past Sunday and here's a sample of what they regularly serve on weekends:

Chicken wing (5) or catfish (3) box with fries $5.00
    BBQ chicken thigh quarters-------------------- $4.00
BBQ hamburgers or pork chop sandwich $3.00
(real pit bbq, not baked & dipped in Kraft sauce)
    Chicken & Sausage Jambalaya box------------$4.00
Hot Sausage Poboy (with or without chili)-----$4.00
    Hog dogs (with chili) ---------------------------$3.00
    French Fries, Nachos, popcorn ----------------$2.00
    Can soft drinks ---------------------------------$1.00

The upside is that contracts do come up for renewal. Feedback back to Dr. Savoive, Mr. LeBlanc, and Mr. Farmer about the poor quality of the selected vendors will hopefully get factored in when time comes for that renewal. I've been curious about whether the contract for on-campus dining and athletic venue catering is tied together. I suspect we would get better results if they weren't.

Having a good product out in the basketball floor does make it a little easier to accept. And the prices at the 'dome are in line with similar venues that I've visited. It's just that at those prices, I really expect much better quality than what we're getting from Artisan and Sodexho.

Does anyone know when the sodexho contract expires? It seems they have been serving overpriced garbage for more than a few years now. It may be almost time for the contract to be revisited.

With a menu and prices like that I would past on supper and eat at the ball park every time. I remember going to one arena but can't remember what sport. But they had big deep fried turkey legs for $5.....it was a meal in itself with french fries and a drink. Forget eating at the Tigue until things change.
