Thanks Josh for the update. This program will miss the services of fontenot next year more than we can imagine. He has been pretty damm clutch this year, and last year.

Great game...especially beating NSU.

Good night tonight at the Tigue. We did what we were suppose to do against NSU. Timely hitting and the pen was nails tonight. Really liked Kellog in the 9th.

Kellog was throwing hard and no problems with batters, I liked him too. I hope fontenot isn't hurt badly! We need him BADLY!

I know we loose alot on the mound after this year, and next year we maytake our licks while we get some young guys while they get some experience, but the future is brrright!

Tweak his hamstring in lsu game and tweaked it again tonight going into 2nd

Great game and my wife and I had nice time at The Tigue. The only downer is that Cook had another bad start. I feel so badly for the guy...especially knowing he has the tools. Heck...he was a weekend starter as a FRESHMAN! I keep hoping the next time out will be the charm.
Come on, Mike, you can do it!!

He does not have the tools, that is the problem. His fastball is straight over the top and is very straight without good velocity. His curve is good at times when it does not hang because it is a big looper 12-6 type curve. For that pitch to work you must pitch ahead in the count which he has fell behind to nearly every batter he faced this year. It seems he goes to 2 or 3 ball to every batter and that spell trouble.
Watch guys like Traffica and Parker. They have good stuff. You will see the other team get fooled or swing and miss often. With Cook the other team rarely swing and miss, and when they do swing they are making good contact.
