Ragin' Cajuns Re: V5 2005 - Volunteer Days - United Louisiana Cajuns (execution)

This weekend was so enthusiastic for my sons and I. Now that the hard work is over, although lifelong Cajun fans, we do have a sense of pride and accomplishment having put in many hours for our fans and foes alike. As members of the Lafayette community, we must always put our best on display. Remember, "You never get a second chance to make a good FIRST impression".

For those fans who were not able to make it, recall what Cajun Field, the Track/Soccer field, the Tigue, tennis courts and even the administration building looked like just a couple of weeks ago. Much of the improvements were superficial, but all in all make the appearance of the property better.

And we can say "WE DID THAT".

Did anyone think of taking "before" and "after" pictures?

How long do you think it will take to pressure wash all the blackness off the concrete in the stands? And is it possible to get it done before our first game?

That cat worked his ~~~~~ off, so his state hat did not bother me in the least. He may not be a UL fan, (I do not know) but he helped the university and so he could be wearing all P&G and it would not have bothered me. He may also have devloped a little interest in what is going on at UL in the process.

Default V4 - Need Volunteers this week

Gerald Hebert has just advised me that he could really use some help for a couple of days this week. He has a contractor coming in Tuesday to replace the roofing on the Track press box. Whatever hours you could put in would be very helpful. Please call Gerald ASAP if you are interested in lending a hand. His phone number is 962-0296.

I told him we may have some of you students just getting into town with free time on your hands. Please give him a call.

We will also try to set up a networking organization for any help Gerald needs. I know we all know people in different businesses in and around town.
For instance Friday, I let Gerald know about a son of a co-worker who is a real estate developer. Guess what, Gerald can use his help right now for what he needs to get done. It's that easy guys. I've also connected Gerald with a friend who owns a local fabrication yard.

If you have a tip forward it to Gerald at his cell phone above or e-mail it to sports@louisiana.edu .
