    Although they Louisiana-Lafayette us....

n McConathy has built the NSU program on the strength of recruiting Louisiana players. Right now, Tech is no better than the third choice for most high school players in the state behind LSU and Louisiana-Lafayette, a program seemingly poised to take a big step up in the next few years. With the his connections with high school coaches — and the way he is respected around the state — McConathy can change that.

If the Tech AD and staff had even half a brain, they would make this happen. But, as we've seen in their dealings with us in the past, there is insufficient evidence to indicate they have even 10% of that much cerebral matter.

Why? If we're passing them up in other areas, why not sports? I would guess they will have more programs for the near future, but I don't see any reason that our attendance and budget-- and successes-- can't equal theirs.

Per faculty we've already passed them up in research, and our Foundation per FTE was bigger for a while, and it's not far behind them right now.

    And that's the important stuff.

No small dreams, please. We don't need small dreams.

The writer is clearly not a very knowledgable baseball person. As much as I hate um, I think TooLame may be second in the state. Tech ain't third, and not likely to be forth anytime soon. I would place SLU behind UL at this time and pushing.

No, but he may be somewhat knowledgeable about basketball since this is what the article is about.

Sorry, I didn't make it clear in the thread title.
