In the sixth inning, Ardoin moved into fifth place on Louisiana-Lafayette's all-time strikeout list, when he struck out Marist's Andy Kiriakedes to leadoff the inning.

Ardoin was one of two Sun Belt players to be recoginized on the honor roll. Arkansas State's Tyler Goodwin, this week's Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week, was also named to the list after tossing a complete game shutout of Louisiana-Monroe.

Louisiana-Lafayette, ranked No. 21 by Baseball America, is currently participating in the First Hawai'i Title Rainbow Baseball Tournament in Honolulu, Hawai'i.
