I remember a 9-6 game at the old Alex Box in 1989. Donnie Wall started against Russell Springer. Todd Unrein relieved Wall. Ben McDonald closed the game for LSU. David King had a HR, among others. I also remember King hitting one off the LF wall and only getting a single out of it (not the fleetest of foot).
