Then the Crawfish Farmer drives down to New Orleans and sell them to the restaurants there

For one... I believe the crawfish in the Acadiana area is superior to boiled crawfish anywhere else in the state... including New Orleans. That being said... Cajun Claws in Abbeville is the best and biggest crawfish around... consistently. Well seasoned and always on the larger side.

They are always packed and stay very busy during the season. My wife and I went this past Saturday for the third time this season but we FORTUNATELY get our crawfish paid for by her grandmother who lives in Abbeville and loves to invite us over for a night at Cajun Claws. Thank God because I know they are expensive over there as well and anywhere else in Lafayette, but I can honestly tell you that you get exactly what you pay for at Cajun Claws... unlike at many other establishments.

It's the only way to go. Dwights is a close second.

    Just my 2 cents.

Clawdaddys on the corner of eraste Landry and ambassador had cooked crawfish at 17.49 for 5 lbs. They we kind of small and you have to take it home but they were pretty good considering.

If there is one thing that I don't mind paying high prices for. It is to support LA farmers and local crawfisherman(?).

Although I have been a member for sometime, but have never posted. SInce this topic was about crawfish, I wanted to people know about THE HOT POT, which I am one of the owners. It is located at 705 Robley behind the Valero. Our prices are the best in Lafayette. So if you want great crawfish at a fair price come and see us(3 lbs $14.50, 5 lbs $23.00). If you can find it cheaper in Lafayette, we will match there prices. We are only in our second year so I am trying to get the word out. We are a drive through only. 337-216-0333.

    Thanks.
