What is everyone so upset about. This is our typical pattern; post season and then a year or two of mediocre baseball. I'm so tired of this cr@&!

What do you want? CWS every year? We are in the #7 conference in the nation at worse. Yes, our hitting sucks right now, but if the hitting starts we will be playing like a 2 seed with our pitching. Get over it, hitting comes and goes, bit pitching is our strong suit.

The hitting problems have been ongoing. You can't win games when you can't hit and score runs. We are far too timid at the plate. I've seen players watch strike three pass them by without even moving the bat off their shoulder. That is simply unacceptable.

The only time we can get hits seems to be against very bad pitching. Changes in our hitting game have to happen now. You simply can not expect your pitching to be perfect game in and game out and only score 1 or 2 runs.

I'm still in favor of Robe, I mean the guy is a great coach, but with that said, our expectations should be to compete for a regional every year, especially considering that we are in the #7 conference in America, as long as we are in the top part of the conference, we would accomplish that. All of that aside, if we can't figure out how to hit, we will NEVER be a World Series caliber team ever again, and I don't mean hitting and scoring 600 runs a game and 40 home runs a game, I mean just being able to average 5-6 runs a game atleast.

You said hitting comes and goes...but in our case, it never came. The only good hitting game we had came against Alcorn...and they are equal to about a 6A high school team.

If we can't figure out how to hit better year in and year out, we will never do anything worthwhile in a regional anyway. It takes HITTING. Pitching can't do it all against great teams.

Simple question. Not a flame. Why can't we pitch AND hit? They are NOT inherently mutually exclusive.

What's frustrating is everyone is always belittling ULM. Well, right now their team is bigger, stronger...pitches and defends as well. And, most importantly, they looked more confident at the plate...and turned that into more hits and runs.

    That should not happen.

Except when you have Zach Osborne on the mound.
