If in fact Ashley re-injured her shoulder, I would not go as far as saying the season is over, but hopes of getting to the WCWS certainly are. No offense to the other girls on the team, but we simply do not have enough pitching to get through the postseason tournaments without her.

Because the west-coast teams are the best.

I really hope the injury to Ashley is not serious. The season could go south in a big hurry if her injury is serious. Besides the fact that she's worked so hard to come back from the initial injury.

UL plays better against SEC schools because the SEC is not as good as West coast teams.
On a side note... UL is going to have to scrap CMLs batting technique, CMLs style works against Sunbelt teams but The Pac 10 girls swing the bat. (no offense to anyone on the board)

Thought I knew most of it. What's meant by CMLs. Is it refering to slap hitters?

Yes. Evidently, though, the CML technique works against the SEC and the Big 10 too.

No it's the open grip and swing style where they don't make a full follow through. I think...

Yeah no kidding the truth is that the PAC-10 teams really are just better. And then there's Michigan of course

What is the reasoning behind the shorten swing, aka cml?

I think so too. I don't think that is our problem against them. The simple fact is that they just have too many athletes that our pitching, without a healthy Ashley at least, cannnot overpower. Although we can beat these teams on rare occasions, we are just not on their level. SEC teams just tend to be ranked superficially high IMO.

I agree and I think it will come to pass again in the WCWS this year, Pac-10, Michigan or Washington will win
