Western Kentucky?! Surging?!
They are having a nice year, but sorry Andrew, you're looking at the wrong team from the Sunbelt. As of right now, 2/20/05 at 7:13am CST, WKU has an RPI of 61 with a SOS of 209. Maybe you need to look at the UL Ragin Cajuns. You want to see surging, this is the team. They are a tight nit group of kids that know what the term "team" means. They have won our total respect with their play. They are a special group. We have an RPI of 50 with a SOS of 126. We've won 12 out of our last 13, 9 out of our last ten, 4 out of our last 5 and on a current win streak of 4. We were on a win streak of 7 before a road loss to Denver. We have only one road conference loss. We are 11-2 in conference. Check this link out.

And, on a blind poll, done by your own ESPN, over 68% of voters said that based on the record of UL, the Ragin Cajuns should get an at large bid. Here's the link.

Am I tooting our horn? Yes I am! With the circumstances involved in our coaching change this year, coach Robert Lee, aka "The General" (a term of endearment given by us Cajun fans), has brought a sense of deep pride to this program. We are proud and honored to have him as our coach. He is the real deal. It would be a shame if he doesn't get "Coach of the Year" for the Sunbelt. Maybe you need to interview him, then you'll see what I'm talking about. Visit our websites, then you'll get a sense of what we see in him.

Are we in 1st place in the Western Division? Yes. Are we a lock to win it all? No. But Remember the name Robert Lee and the UL Ragin Cajuns, because of what coach Lee and his staff has started here, you will be hearing it on a regular basis from now on. I thank you for your time.
