I posted this on another thread and no one commented on it, I didn't really notice, then I wen't back and read what I typed. It was like 2 o'clock in the morning and I was delirious when I wrote that, I think its pretty good.
Both of you make good point, and although I dispise LSU I think ol boy has some good points too. Personally I think its more fun to be a cajun fan than it is to be a Tiger fan. I could have jumped on the band wagon per say but, I didn't. If sports has taught me one thing is that everyone loves an under dog, and UL well in D-1 we are about as under dog as it gets. But I love it I really do because I get to be more apart of a program than I would if I was a Tiger Fan. UL is so community oriented that you really feel like your apart of the program too and its almost like seeing your child grow up in a way. They've been letting us down lately sure but look how much we have come together to support our boys. I've been a Ragin Cajun fan since I was 5 years old and I don't think we have ever had a buzz this big around our program, it really is a fun time to be a Cajun fan and I just wish more people could see that. Like improvements yah you could donate money to LSU but who would care about your measily 5,000 donation to a program that size. But here at UL sheee they'll give you the royal treatment. And its not even about money, I mean if you help to clean up the stadium or improve it or do something, the people at UL make you feel apart of the process and your proud to be apart of it. You can come back years from now and tell your kids or grandkids, hey look I did that for the school or I was there when we finally did it. I'd rather be there for something ground breaking than I would for a tradition that has long been established. Now is the most exciting time because we aren't there yet, but its so close and everyone can feel it. I have a better time being a UL fan because I get not only get to cheer for the underdog, I get to really be apart of it.
Thats my Opinon
Geaux Cajuns.
