Thread: Softball park update.

The seats are VERY comfy, and the color matching with the benches are perfect. The coaches offices are wired & dry walled, and have a very nice tile with a Fleur-De-Lis logo as an accent between some of the tiles. The bathrooms have AC wired and plumbing stubbed out and are awaiting drywall. All of the club/box/media buildings are roofed with bricklayers pending arrival. Yesterday, the iron workers were working on the ramp system for the top level. This stadium will be gorgeous.

BTW, the contractor is actually adding a number of amenities not included in the original specifications, so maybe we could give him a break.

I take full credit for the chairbacks being installed. If I hadn't raised the ruckus that I had, you would still be seating on bleacher seats. The squeaky wheel does get the grease it seems.

Be sure to come on down to Section 106, Row 4, seats 4 through 8 and you can thank me personally. I look forward to visiting with you and might even buy you a $4.00 Diet Coke if I have enough money left over after I buy snacks and drinks for my wife and sons.

Can anyone agree that those red chair-backs should most definitely replace the 30 plus year old chair-backs in Cajun Field? How much would that cost? Seeing that there really aren't that many I don't think it would be a big financial issue. It's a minor cost and would drastically, I think, change the look of the stadium. Fans would love to be more comfortbale and bright new red chairs would stand out and give the stadium an updated and fresh new look. When I look at the stadium there are really only two things that bother me...the press box because it's obviously old and needs to be replaced but everyone knows that and it's been in the works for a few years and will be done in a few coming years. Pressboxs' are expensive though but chairs are just that, chairs. It could be done it a couple of days. Just look at any stadium that has chairbacks and notice how much they improve the look and feel of the stadium. I mean we don't have to wait to build a new stadium or make major improvments to wait and replace these old, ugly, uncomfortable chairs.

Yes, I know this is about chairs but I am just speaking cause...well that's what this website is all about.

What are your opinions on this highly important matter?

I think he is talking about the football stadium turb, it sounds like you are referring to the Tigue. A football stadium rework is in the works, but it is longer term.

They need to brick that building above their heads call the press-box first. Don't hire this contractor. They will lay in carpets before the roof is on.

I think that's the suites building, and I think all of the building roofs have been installed. I think the club room on the first base side also needs to be bricked. The bricks have been installed on both front & back of the press box area.
