Just got back from Hammond. Well...we got out pitched...out hit...and we made four errors. But other than that, we did well.

I wish their hitting coach could work a bit with us.

We had alot of veterans that protected alot of guys in our lineup last season. Keefers presence allowed porrier to see some pitches and he made them pay. We were able to bring t Fred in at the bottom of the lineup and he was protected by the guys around him. It's gonna take somebody to start sticking balls in the gap for this team to win.

This is nearly every team we play. We do not look physical at the plate and this has been like this for a few years now.

It's not so easy to sign more pitchers than other teams, sign speedy defensive players, AND sign physical at the plate.

Yes I was serious. We were down 7-1. Hence, coming back on their field would have been stealing it. Has nothing to do with dominating SLU, who by the way has beaten some really good teams this year and have built a very nice program. This aint losing 7-1 to Alcorn

_ A very quick check of the media guide shows that since 2000 (excluding tonight), we're 5-5 in Hammond....not great, but no one said its easy to win on the road in baseball. Including games in Lafayette, we're 11-7 since 2000 (excluding tonight). A counter point is the fact that since 2000, SLU is 2-6 when playing the Cajuns at the Tigue. Perhaps they are tired of losing to us, at our place, in the middle of the week. _

Well yeah, but what might be making some feel the way they do about our success or lack of it against Southeastern is the last few years. We havent beaten them at their place or at home since 07. And some of the games during that span have been thorough _____ whippings.

Not a bad loss in the sense that SLU is a pretty darn good club and has been for a couple of years now. However, it was a very bad loss considering the way the team played.
