for the record ....I'm tired of loosing to them, at there place, in the middle of the week. We should be better than that

Did I really read on this someone say "we were doing well so far this season with only 10 errors"? 14 errors in twelve games is a problem! The expectation is no errors and we repeatedly cannot field the ball cleanly. This is a problem that needs to be corrected. The pitchers need to know they have a defense behind them that can make the routine plays. Obvoiusly we have not been able to do that. I would really like to see a couple games in a row with no errors!
4 errors tonight yielding 5 unearned runs, and we loose by 2

My point exactly: Errors, unearned runs and no clutch hitting. Tough to win games that way,
A very quick check of the media guide shows that since 2000 (excluding tonight), we're 5-5 in Hammond....not great, but no one said its easy to win on the road in baseball. Including games in Lafayette, we're 11-7 since 2000 (excluding tonight). A counter point is the fact that since 2000, SLU is 2-6 when playing the Cajuns at the Tigue. Perhaps they are tired of losing to us, at our place, in the middle of the week.
To me what we have done or not done against one team since 2000 doesn't matter. Its what we do this season that counts. And if things don't improve it'll be a long season.
Just got back from Hammond. Well...we got out pitched...out hit...and we made four errors. But other than that, we did well.
I wish their hitting coach could work a bit with us.

We had alot of veterans that protected alot of guys in our lineup last season. Keefers presence allowed porrier to see some pitches and he made them pay. We were able to bring t Fred in at the bottom of the lineup and he was protected by the guys around him. It's gonna take somebody to start sticking balls in the gap for this team to win.
