Thread: Restoring Cajun Field

  1. #1

    UL Football Cajun Field

I was just searching some of the football archives on here and I came across the picture of Cajun Field brand spankin new. It looks good all shining in the louisiana sun. It kinda makes me think of how good it would look with all of the things we have already added to Cajun Field. The Gates, the Awning on the tunnel, the Hall of fame wall. Geez if the stadium could be restored it certainly would be a sight wouldn't it. I know that doing that would cost a pretty penny and the universities financial situation isn't exactly that great. When I see my beloved cajun field all I see is potential potential potential. I'll post link here so you too can see the potential I see.

Gerald recently said that he would be in contact again with the company that could pressure wash and reseal the stadium at a cost of around $400,000! He will ask if we did some of the pressure washing would the monies saved be worth the potential time lost!

I have a pressure washer, count me in! This program is on the rise and I think we will have some more TV games in the future. I would love to not only show a packed house, but also a nice place to play.

Daddycajun, your enthusiasm is unparalleled...but you cannot possibly be juiced about every single thing as indicated by the exclamation marks at the end of all of your sentences. Should I rate them on a scale? 1 exclamation being a reflection of your general positive attitude(!) and 5 marks being some serious jubilation(!!!!!)

    That would be sweet!!!!!(serious jubilation)

Have all of us die hards bring a pressure washer to clean the stadium. If about 20 pressure washers were brought I bet we could knock half of it out in a day!!

Only problem would be to have enough water faucets and hose to reach all parts.

Always excited yes, because a giant has been awakened! # of ! just depends how long I keep my finger down!! Sometimes it is a reflection of just HOW excited I am at the time!!!!!!!!

I too have a little Honda pressure washer!!!

Weekdays are best for me to offer some physical labor, how about anyone else in for some weekday pressure washing!!!!

I'm not sure that we need pressure washing. We just need something to kill the mold.

Several products are available that will "whiten" the mold. I believe one that we used on our concrete at home several years ago was Jomax. It would be a lot easier for a large number of people to show up with pump sprayers than trying to get that many pressure washers going. Believe me, if we get the right stuff that concrete will turn from black to white. This kind of stuff can be purchased at Home Depot or Lowes. We should test a few of these products on small areas before we select one. Just another option from a lazy man.
