While you are correct, remember that when JKH was hired, there was nothing else going on in athletics.

No facility improvements, no RCAF, no excitement about anything.

    Scott's plate overfloweth right now.

Jessica Clark is now associate AD/Compliance.

We had a compliance director back then, too.

My point is that Scott doesn't have a Scott right now, someone to be responsible for the day to day operations of the department.

Besides, even if she was capable, Jessica is getting married this Saturday. I don't think she'll be much help

I still think it will be done...and David will be asked to help.

What is not to be done, his contract is up. How is this the fans responsibility?

    Nothing prevents interim.

If you can slap interim on the AD job you can certainly do it with WBB.

A few years ago Nelson Nelson Schexnayder promoted a grad assistant named Amy Kraljev to the top VB job. Problem at the time it took him almost 9 months (end of one season to start of next) to name her to the job.

She was between Madden and Mazeitis.

She didn't win but she sure saved NS some money.

You seem certain as to what the announcement will be. Don't be.

The only thing retaining him says is that women's basketball isn't as important to us as other sports. Or that we don't have the time to search for a coach right now, with all this other stuff going on. Which I guess is the same thing. 1.It'd be interesting to hear the justification he'd give for retaining him.2. I can't see it happening. _
    1. You might get it.

Don't get me wrong, I think we need to get a new coach, however, that is a pretty legitimate reason for not getting a new coach. _
Whether it's Errol or a new coach, the stipulations would be the same for next season, unless the coach agrees to a smaller sum.

To be honest, if its cheaper to keep the status quo im all for it.
We have a lot of stuff going on right now in other revenue generating sports.

If we can save money in WB by keeping it as is, and putting that saved money into other sports im all for it.

When the day comes and the RCAF coffers are full and all the upgrades are done then they can revisit the WB situation.

No need pouring a lot of money in a program that generates no interest and negative cash flow.

We could hire Pat Summit and it would still take 10 years to make the WB program profitable.

So lets focus on FB, BB, Baseball, SB etc....

Once we have that in order, then we can worry about this blackhole.

So lets just do what we gotta do to keep Title IX happy, and worry about it down the road.

Basically what Jay said. Not enough interest right now to invest much into this program right now.

Well you can't beat this scenario for top of the line cheap.

Partially correct. The Department of Education sees money spent as giving equal opportunity to the student experience.
