Easy to see why some want a red roof.Originally Posted by CajunAmos
Today, Friday March 2, was an excellent day to paint so I decided to check out the progress. It looks like about 75% of all the red steel is now white. Another day like today and they should be real close to a finished paint job. I would think it would take about 15 to 20 WORKING days to skin the building.Originally Posted by ULforlife
On another note, the first level of campus parking garage is almost finished with falsework starting to for the second level. They should be finished by the fall.
I heard to day that our practice facility is heated but will not have an air conditioner.
First, is this true?
Second, is that common?
No ac except for the basketball area. Heat? Don't know about that, but since we will have baseball, softball practicing there in January, and heat would be a need, more than simply a plus.Originally Posted by DeadRed
Got a couple more that I don't think I posted yet from last week.

The "painting" SEEMS to be near completion. Anyone know exactly what they have left to do for it to take up until September?Originally Posted by DaddyCajun
Just wondering
1) Some of the wiring seems to be done
2) then there is the base for the turf to be placed over
3) once the turf is down UL will have new rubber pellets filtered into the turf
4) the roof and the walls metal must be secured to the frame
5) ventialtion and doors installed
6) lighting installed and adjusted
7) Basketball court layed down
8) goal post and netting installed
9) viewing towers installed
etc.

Doors first, then walls
A brick wainscot of sorts is almost completely up around the basketball portion of the indoor pratice facility.
As a part of the difference makers I was with Gerald Hebert at the Tennis complex yesterday explaining my measurements of the Grandstand roof, grandstand skirting, and the pavillion roof, as they will soon be reroofed the same RED as the baseball gameday sponsor board roof, the ticket office booth, softball dugouts, baseball Lourdes park pavillions!!Originally Posted by Turbine
As we were talking we both noticed that the lighting was being hung in the indoor facility. It was pretty exciting. The brick wall was almost finished and there is some nice brick work to it also.
