Now that construction at UL’s indoor practice facility has reached a stage where the building’s length and width are becoming visible, it’s much easier to see how impressive a facility this will be when completed this spring.
One end of the giant building, the one closest to the Cajun Courts tennis facility, has all the supports in place and the roof beams spanning the walls. The side-wall construction has a skeleton that goes to the opposite end of the structure that will eventually house a full-size football field.
It’s a big building when viewed from the context of other structures in and nearby the Cajuns’ athletic complex. It’s even bigger when you’re standing next to one of the beams that supports the side walls.
