No, it won't be air conditioned, but it will be designed for that, being well ventilated so it won't be like an oven.
Again, the main idea is not to get out of the heat, but to get out of the rain.

what about the basketball wing? if they don't air condition that thing, the floor will warp and buckle and then become quite useless.Originally Posted by CDeb
Concreate does not warp. When the new OHS (1965) was built it had a painted concreate basketball floor. It was very nice in PE, and games. i don't know if they ever changed it.Originally Posted by derf
I think the basketball section will be AC'ed, but I'm not positive.Originally Posted by derf
I think that there could be another method to cool--I talked to Gerald about this one day--I was at H.Depot and they had a chilling machine of some sort that was portable. I think the cost was about $750. Well maybe 2o of these could solve the problem and save big bucks on AC charges---Has anybody seen these????Originally Posted by CDeb
Are you referring to the large box fans that are essentially a big radiator (water runs through fins in the fan)?Originally Posted by Boomer

If designed properly with some forced draft ventilation, the building will be quite cooler inside than outside during the summer months without any other assistance.Originally Posted by Boomer
