why cant you be positive? everyone knows good things take time... it's a given that it will not be complete in time for the fall season, it WILL however be done by spring practices... be patient and enjoy the thought of progress (long term) and stop being such a negative nancy

Don't worry guys, it will be up in time. Remember that this is nothing more than a really big tin shed. Once the foundation and dirt work are done it will go up in no time.

Hurricanes like tin sheds. I hope it is a little more than that.

Oldman, you need to have your eyes checked or you are getting wacky in your old age. I passed by again today at approximately 2:00. There was a tackhoe with no operator in it, a couple of guys looking at the rebar and tiewire, and a gentleman in a Cox Communications van. The dirt work is the same as it was from a couple of weeks ago. The rebar has pretty much been untouched. I asked one of the gentlemen standing next to the dirtwork about how much longer he thought before we would see any concrete and he said that my guess would be as good as his and that this will take longer than expected. But he did say that it was the norm for the university to continuously drag its feet like this. There oldman, now you have it. Of course you probably went by at 2:01 and the structure was already up wasn't it.......................

Funny thing is I passed by this morning and there was a full crew working. They seemed to be accomplishing things, moving along nicely. What I would like to know UL Reality is how would a guy who does rebar and concrete work know that the university continously drags it feet? Does the gentleman have any experience working on other university projects? Was he a Foreman or one of the workers? Come on UL Reality give us the poop since apparently you tend to drive around in circles checking up on the construction progress all day.

Mrs Reality needs a reality check! I dropped off my son at the Robert Lee basketball camp at 0815 and workers were there working. A huge trench parallel to the tennis courts has ben dug and has wood framework and other stuff in it. Not a builder here so not sure what all that was or means but work is being done. The gentleman building the facility is under contract and is getting paid as per the contract.

Why don't you go watch your tiger village construct their new baseball and softball facilities and leave the little guys alone, besides we could NEVER beat you guys, now could we?!?!!?!?

Do you know anything about the construction business? In the summer, many construction crews are done by 2:00 p.m. because the foreman knows that he isn't going to get much work out of his workers anyway in the heat of the day. They start at 6 or 7 in the morning and wrap up early.

Now that we have your take, an unknow person who finds UL to always be in the wrong can, we get on to reality. The university has zero calls on the construction. The money has been approved, the contract signed, so if a delay occurrs it rests with the contractor. In addition I am glad to know that a foreman has such good knowledge of what is typical for UL. It shows that we are creating a lot of wealth in this community for the less educated. Yes we have created anouther Tank Top fan with UL dollars and knowledge. It is good to be a leader even if it leads some of our slower citizens to Refineryville.

Mr. Reality, here is the truth. You are obsessed with UL, and that can only come from fear, that fear I might add is in fact well based. Your scorn will not keep UL from advancing at an ever increasing rate, so spend your life finding fault in all things UL. It will have zero effect, except to provide us with some degree of humor in an otherwise slow time.
