Maybe they ought to wait until the forms are set! Or maybe that's just me.Originally Posted by CAJUNJUDO
Indoor practice area should be ready by January.
Barring unforeseen delays, several University of Louisiana athletic teams will be using the new indoor practice facility by the end of January 2007.
But contractors and university officials face a more pressing deadline in the construction area located in the heart of the UL athletic complex. They've got to get grass growing.
An overlooked part of the building of the new facility is the relocation of UL's football practice fields, and that work and turf growing needs to be completed by early August when the Ragin' Cajuns begin fall drills.
"The fields are part of the whole project," said UL physical plant director Bill Crist. "The construction is going to take what they called the humpback field and half of the first 100-yard field, so the first part is getting the dirt work, irrigation piping and seeding of the new field."
The practice field running alongside Cajundome Boulevard will be unchanged, and a new 100-yard field is being built adjacent to Reinhardt Drive.
"It's crucial that gets done," Crist said of the new field, "so we can get grass growing and have it usable for the fall."

Can someone tell me the dollar amount that the facility is supposed to be estimated at?? Just curious to see how much
I had heard $3.9 million then recently I heard $2.9 millionOriginally Posted by weareLOUISIANA
I don't know if the discrepancy has anything to do with Authement saying (early on) "I have the first million."
