If designed properly with some forced draft ventilation, the building will be quite cooler inside than outside during the summer months without any other assistance.

Yeah, it was there, and the bulldozers merely uncovered it!

Basketball wing will have AC. If it did not, the floor would have problems.

Come on man, just drive yourself over there for a look. Shouldn't take more than 5 or 6 hours to get there. Jeez.

Four and a half hours with no traffic and a blatant disregard for the law.

  12. Default Indoor facility construction not behind schedule . yet

The seemingly-constant rains in the Acadiana area havenıt had a big effect on the work schedules for UL's under-construction indoor practice facility. If the building itself was on hand, it would be a different story.

"As long as the contractors finish the foundation work before the building gets here," said UL physical plant director Bill Crist, "we haven't lost any time. The weather may have caused some delay, but the area's draining well."

The building itself is a pre-fabricated metal facility, and will arrive at the site ready to be assembled.

"If there's anything that's behind, that's where it is," Crist said.

"There's a lot involved in preparing and processing the metal building."

One of the main areas of emphasis for the on-site contractors has been the new practice field, required when the Ragin' Cajuns report in early August to start fall football drills. Crist said that field is almost ready with only a few bare spots and minor touch-up work remaining.

I think that the air conditioning deal is over rated----If it has the right ventalation along with these Air Coolers around the inside walls, all is well---Actually, one wouldn't want true AC!!!! This would make wosses out of the athletes and not really prepare them for the games as they should!!! AND-It will be used in all the cold times---Remember those times---Cajun field is unreal in these times!!!!
