Just wish we could've waited a couple more weeks...very few sporting events make me cry. This one did. It hurt bad.

So right, all of us on this board are true Cajun fans.We all have to admit the second half of the season was a very special ride.Especially living thru the Robert Lee era. Thank You Boyz!!

Bob Marlin thank you look forward to you bringing in your type of players.

I agree with you that we played really poorly, but WKU probably had something to do with that. We just seem to always have sub-par games against Western when they really count. They seem to bring out the worst in us most times we play them.

We won 11 straight games but went 0-1 when the season was truly on the line. This one hurt REAAALLLY bad. I am proud of the team and I do look forward to next season, but this one stings. With that said, on a serious note, when was the last time we won a game in the SBC tourny, I know it has been a VERY long time.

I do not think the Cajuns played terribly. Obviously they did not play their best game as they did not win. However the final margin was five points and this came against one of the most talented teams in the league, that does not indicate a very poor performance. Of course in no way was it good enough but after 11 in a row the breaks were bound to go against us at some point. The fouls on JJ and the shot that Josh Brown had go in and out were examples of the breaks going against us. Another frustrating part of the game was the Cajuns twice blocking shots with the ball deflecting right to a Topper near the goal. In my view it was not so much that the Cajuns were that bad but that WKU played that well in the 2nd half. As much as we don't like WKU, you have to respect them for their basketball accomplishments. I soon want to be hated by the rest of the league the way they are. By the way, assistant Coach Neil Hardin thanked the fans for the support in his post game comments. You can tell he meant those words and they will use that support on the recruiting trail.

It is nice having optimism for next season. I have aleady reserved season tickets for next year & have several other friends buying tickets also. The future is looking bright for Cajun basketball.

UL Basketball Re: UL vs WKU

Cajuns will bring home the Western Division Champs trophy!
What a memorable second half of the year! Hope it is just a forshadowing of future fantastic fun, (ragin' cajun)fans. Next year will be special. Can't wait 'til they unfurl that Western Championship banner in the dome and then put up a Sunbelt Conference Championship banner next to it at the end of next year!
Good luck to Travis, Randell, and La'Ryan.

Kinda hard to contribute when you get fouls called on you for standing straight up.

Ultimately, the referees didn't cause us to lose this game. The loss of composure in the second half stretch and WKU's dominance on the boards sealed it, but the ticky tack fouls on our arguably our best player definitely put as at a disadvantage. The non 10 second call was also one one of the most pitiful things I've ever seen. Clock runs all the way down to 24 and they put 2 seconds back on to justify the call. Pitiful!

Oh well. Thank you so much to the guys on the team and Marlin for a great stretch. Can't wait for next year.

Did not play well. WKs top two (1st team all conf) played lights out and it was not decided until a missed shot under the basket near the end of the game. And that's with the Lion with one leg; JJ on the bench. I'd say I'm looking fwd to the Marlin era. If recruiting develops as we believe; AIYEEE.
Mke, interesting comment by Coach Hardin. Said fans are great here. Other place (not named) won a lot of games but no one cared. Here, fans stuck with them.
Here's to a lot more sticking.
It did hurt but sometimes, It hurts good.
