Heck of a season. 2 months ago I could have never imagined caring about a UL basketball game.

_ have I mentioned I really really REALLY hate Western Kentucky _

You can't be a Cajun basketball fan and NOT really really really hate them. The Cajuns wouldn't have beaten many teams tonight the way they played. Waay too many turnovers. But if I was going to pick a team NOT to lose to tonight, it would be the GD Hilltoppers. I had a really bad feeling going into this game because of the fact that WKU had momentum after winning once already in the tournament, and the fact that we never beat them when it counts.

Biggest bummer is that with the great run they had, they couldn't end the season with at least a .500 record. I wish they would have had to play in the 1st round. I have to believe they would have beaten any team that wasn't named WKU.

The stats were pretty even. I don't think the cajuns played THAT bad but their big 3 players killed us. We gave up too many second chance points in the second half which hurt us and JJ never was able to really play as he only saw the floor for a grand total of 14 minutes. Frustrating but those guys played like they were expected to for the entire season.
