FYI the Southern Miss website announced that today's game is rained out. There will be a 6:00 p.m. single game tomorrow and a 1:00 p.m. double header Sunday

The series opener between Louisiana and Southern Miss has been delayed by rain. As of 5:40 p.m., rain was still falling at Pete Taylor Park resulting in a delayed start time for the contest which was set to begin at 6 p.m.

At least Stevie is not required to broadcast the games from a makeshift pine box in foul territory not far behind third base (as was the case in the 2007 series with USM). With baseballs screaming towards this open air press box situated on the ground, it sure looked much like a coffin for the inhabitants. Z and CajunFun know what I am talking about.
