Glad to see our home newspaper squeeze this win in on the 4th page of the sports. I like the DA coverage of UL. But come on. We beat the number 1 team in the nation yet Yvette Girards retirement announcment gets front page. They missed on this one.

Rogers is a drop ball pitcher, she will get the nod against Oregon a power hitting PAC 10 team. Hamilton will probably pitch against Temple.

We get great coverage from Parrott, but the Adverstiser needs to set up a UL section that has all UL articles in it. I doesn't make sense to look at the Advertiser on-line and find UL beating #1 Alabama the 6th or 7th article, no article about the UL v. USM baseball game rain-out and articles about Yvette Girard and high school games preceding that. I don't know why the Advertiser wouldn't consider such a simple move to improve the Sports section.

I have subscribed to the DA for 20 years because I wanted to read about Cajuns sports. I read the sports page in it's entirety and read the rest of the paper if I have time. I was a little upset about the softball article being on page 3, but coverage of the Cajuns has been superb since Josh Parrott got here. I'll give the DA a pass for today, because HS basketball in Lafayette shuold get it's props.

Don't want to turn this thread into a DA bash, but I think all of you have to agree that Josh has given us our Cajuns sports fix since he arrived.
