    1. Ricky Dixon, ATH, 6'3", 210, 4.4, East ST John. Dixon will play Quarterback at East ST Johns in 2005 and, according to what Coach Dauterive told me, Dixon has all the tools to be as good as Ryan Perrilloux, but is lacing on experience.

    2. Chaz Washington, DT, 6'4", 307, 5.0, Destrehan. I was told by one of the state's top high school coaches that Chaz Washington was ready to play 1-A college football as a sophomore in high school.

    3. Brian Duncan, LB, 6'1", 210, 4.5, Tara. Duncan can flat out play the game and will be a national recruit.

    4. Dan Kreamer, FS, 6'1", 200, 4.55, Evangel. Kreamer is a fierce competitor and is very physical.

    5. Jai Eugene, CB, 5'11", 170, 4.5 Destrehan. Eugene is probably the best cover cornerback in state and will be very highly recruited.

    6. Shomari Clemmons, SS/LB, 6'2", 210, 4.5, West Monroe. Clemmons has all the tools to be a great college player if he learns to play hard every play.

    7. Richard Murphy, RB, 6'0", 190, 4.75, Rayville. Murphy will be very highly recruited if he recovers 100 percent from a torn ACL he suffered in the eighth game of his junior season.

    8. Al Wood, DE/DT, 6'5", 325, Elton. A big-time defensive lineman that will be a national recruit.

    9. Troy Giddens, LB, 6'1", 205, 4.5, Hammond. Giddens is a very physical player with great foot speed.

    10. Jarrod Shaw, DT, 6'5", 290, Northside. Jarrod has the potential to be a highly recruited player in 2005 if he continue to get better.

    11. David Boyce, DE/TE, 6'7", 240, ST Paul. David has a great frame and could become a big-time defensive end in college or a big-time TE.

    12. Jacob Cutrera, LB, 6'4", 225, Acadiana high school. Runs a 4.5 forty. Very smart with a strong desire to be the best that he can be.

    13. Jared Mitchell, QB/ATH, 6'2", 190, 4.5, Westgate . Mitchell will play quarterback at Westgate in 2005, but will likely play wide receiver in college. Mitchell is projected to be a very early selection in the June MLBD.

    14. Doug Stroud, OL, 6'7", 330, Evangel. Stroud is a big-time prospect, but having to play down in class 1-A will not expose him as a national recruit.

    15. Jamaal Thompson, OL, 6'6", 305, East ST John. Has great quickness for a player his size and could be a dominating offensive lineman in college.

    16. Kentrell Lockett, DE, 6'4", 220, Hahnville. Lockett will need a redshirt year to get bigger and stronger in college, but has a lot of upside.

    17. Michael Roussell, LB, 6'1", 185, Higgins. Roussell is a great player and has a great future, but will probably need a redshirt year to get stronger and put on 20-25 pounds.

    18. Chris Brown, RB, 5'11", 195, 4.5, Alexandria Senior high school. Chris Brown caught the eyes of many major college scouts in 2004 who went to scout blue chip defensive back Nic Harris play. Brown has great speed and balance.

    19. Chris Mitchell, WR, 6'2", 195, 4.5, John Ehret. Big and strong with good speed.

    20. Larry Brewer, OL, 6'7", 310, Slidell. Brewer has good work habits and has a chance to become a very special player.

    21. Terrance Gay, RB/DB, 5'11", 180, Brusly. Brother of former LSU defensive back Randall Gay. Very physical player.

    22. Lance Lacoste, WR, 6'2", 185, Holy Cross. Good hands and runs good pass routes.

    23. William Griffin, RB/ATH, 5'10", 185, 4.5, Patterson. A very physical player with a good blood line. Griffin is a close relative of former LSU running back Dalton Hilliard.

    24. Dervin Richard, ATH, 5'11", 175, 4.4, Plaquemine. Richard is a great cover cornerback and excels in P/KR.

    25. Tonny Connors, SS, 6'1", 190, 4.5, Shaw High school. Connors is very physical and might be underrated on my list.

    26. Lazaricus Livingston, DE, 6'4", 230, Ruston. Livingston is a great pass rusher and has great foot speed.

    27. Blake Ramsey, DL, 6'2", 280, Covington. Ramsey reminds many of Kyle Williams when he was in high school.

    28. Mark Snyder, TE, 6'6", 245, Brother Martin. Snyder came on strong at the end of the 2004 high school season and should have a great senior season.

    29. Darius Smith, LB, 6'2", 225, East Jefferson. The best of four major college prospects on the East Jefferson team.

    30. Louis Lee, WR, 5'11", 180, East ST John. Lee has great hands and runs the forty in 4.5

I know we won't need a QB for a while but Michael Mcgiver ( that might be spelled wrong ) from lafayette high is going to be a good one.

Of course, a lot of our outstanding recruits came from out of state. I think these recruiting "gurus" lean heavily toward LA prospects. How many LA "blue chip" recruits did we sign? We all know how political some of these "all-star" teams and "recruiting services" can be (and which direction they always seem to lean!). Anyway, their advice and $2 will get you a cup of coffee.

OMG, SC13! Will ANYBODY be able to beat East St. John next year? 3 of his top 30 are on that list! Also half of his list comes from the NO metro area. I know this area does have lots of quality athletes, but other areas also have some good ones too. Only 3 from the BR area??? Only 3 from the Acadiana area??? Seems a bit unbalanced to me. Perhaps it indicates he is much more familiar with the NO area than the rest of the state. Who knows?

    UL 1984, 1999 . . . .

I know that it's been posted here before, but everytime UL picks up a recruit "The Evil Empire" was looking at he magically has something wrong with him or they were never looking at him. I just laugh when I hear something like that.
