Tyrell Fenroy (RB, La Place, LA) - The Clarion Herald's 2003 &2004 Player of the Year is up to his old tricks. After rushing for 1,590 yards and 32 TD's as a junior, Fenroy has eclipsed that mark this season. For the year, Tyrell has rushed for over 2,000 yards and 44 TD's.

Fenroy will take an official visit to Texas, Ole Miss, Florida, and Tennessee.


The following information was revealed during our interview with Tyrell Fenroy:

What is your current height, weight, and forty time? "I am 5' 10", 195, and I ran a 4.5 forty at the LSU camp."

Which position are you being recruited to play on the next level? "Running back."

What are your strengths at running back? "I practice hard everyday. I try to make myself better by working for my team. I hit the holes real fast, but I am also patient at the same time. I follow my blockers well. I make the right reads."

What are you working on for the next level? "I want to get my grades up, and I want to be a better person off and on the field."

What is your current GPA and ACT score? "I have a 3.0 GPA and a 17 on the ACT."

What were your stats as a junior? "I rushed for 1, 590 yards and 32 TD's."

Any awards? "I was named District 10(3A) MVP, and I was the Clarion Herald's Louisiana Player of the Year, back to back years.."

How is this year going for you? "Good. We are 11-2 and play Lutcher tonight in the (3A) quarterfinals."

Your stats? "I have rushed for over 2,000 yards and 44 TD's."

I never knew how touted this guy was. He seems to be the real deal.

I know he probably got a lil help to come here cause of one of his old coaches at St.Charles Catholic, Wayne Stein who was a fullback here few years ago, is now a coach over at St.Charles where Tyrell played, so it kinda doesnt surprise me that we got a lil help.

I knew he was good, but he was a little overshadowed by Deon Wallace during recruiting. He is making it happen on the field. He is definately earning my respect. Thank you "Football Gods" for letting Tyrell play for The Cajuns!!!!!!

Tyrell coming to UL can be placed in the good hands of Coach Tim Rebowe. Tim will be a great asset in the River Parishes. He is respected by players, coaches and most importantly, parents. I got this info from Tyrell's parents.

He could have gone out of state, btu his mother wanted him close by. The Cajuns are luckey to have Tyrell & Coach Rebowe.

I played football at Destrehan High when Tim Rebowe was still an assistant coach there. In hindsight it seems pretty obvious that he is a great leader and has an infectious type super attitude that young men will follow... I believe he has a great future as a football coach...
