DENTON, Texas - University of Louisiana head basketball coach Robert Lee's team is on such a roll, he can be disappointed even with a victory.

The Ragin' Cajuns led virtually the entire game, stretching a four-point halftime advantage to as many as 13 points five minutes into the second half and never being threatened late in an 86-79 Sun Belt Conference win over North Texas Thursday.

The Cajuns (13-7, 7-1), winners of 10 of their last 12 and seven straight conference contests, shot 53.2 percent from the field and had only two turnovers in the second half, but Lee said UL still played far from its best.

"I expect so much from this team that it was a little disappointing," he said. "We gave up some easy baskets and we didn't shoot free throws well. But we did do a good job on their two big guns."

North Texas (10-9, 3-5) had six players finish in double figures, but the Mean Green's top scorers were limited to 25 points. All-Sun Belt returnee Leonard Hopkins (14 points) finished 2-for-14 from the field, and Calvin Watson finished with 11.

Tiras Wade had four 3-pointers on the way to his game-high 20 points, and also had eight rebounds. Brian Hamilton finished with 17 points and seven boards, Orien Greene had 13 and Spencer Ford had 14 points and six rebounds off the bench.

"Spencer is capable of doing that every night," Lee said. "He's so talented, he just needs to step it up like this every night."
