Looks like Lancon had many, top notch relays and sprinters! An ole track coach many years ago told me that in order to have a sucessful program you need field and track positions but more so you MUST have relays......

This shows we did have some killer relays....

_ I was President of the officials association during that time. We had MANY quality sprinters and middle distance runners. And we had enough talent in the longer distances to at least show up on the board.

Yes, we had 'many'.... enough to score those 30-40 points on the track. Last team I remember that was relatively strong on the track was the one with Grady Labbe, et al... That was what? 25 years ago? Bob Cole teams tended to be a bit stronger on the track than Lancon's, but perhaps not quite as deep in the field.
