Senior season, rushed for over 1,300 yards.

Senior season had 680 yards receiving.

Senior season totaled 16 touchdowns as a wide receiver/running back and return threat.

Other Schools Recruited: Texas Tech, Louisiana Tech.

Gerron Blount is a pretty good athlete.

At the 2004 District 23-2A Championships, he came in second in the High Jump with a 6-6 jump. Gerron came in 4th in the 200-Meter Dash witha time of 23.17

AND as a junior he was he was the all-state 2a defensive player of the year.

WHAT? 39 Interceptions? Is that accurate? That's outstanding at any level. Over a 4 year career that's close to a pick every game.

I am from the same town as Blount and he was a frosh. when my brother was a senior. He started midway through his fresman year. The 39 int's are accurate. He was the defensive player of the year his junior year with 13 int's over 100 tackles. He also ran for over 1300 yrds with nearly 700 yrds rec. that year.Awesome athletic ability and versitility. Can return punts and kicks and some d1 schools were recruiting him as a wideout. I believe Texas Tech was. You guys will have fun watching this kid play.
