Baseball attendance

It looks like it's moving along. The bricks are finished in the center and the two side sections are now up. So something is happening.

I can understand them checking if we were expecting a big crowd, but on a Tuesday or sunday afternoon, the stands are half full.

I agree. I've had tickets in the grandstand for a long time. Peanuts, beer, and then try to dig the ticket out of your pocket.

I rarely sit in my assigned seats. I am usually visiting with someone else and typically move around during the game. I have never had it be an issue and only rarely have had to move for someone.

BTW - Coach said at the Dimaond Club today that this is the highest attendance average we've ever had. _

It's no secret that this has been talked about for a few years now. The question that I have is "what exactly are they planning to do?" And, are there any pictures of this available; maybe something like Softball put out before that project started?

I have heard from a few different people that the bleachers down each baseline will stay. The grandstand will be demolished and rebuilt to tie in to the existing bleachers. I am guessing here but I would suspect that we will end up with something similar to softball in design.

I'm sick how southern miss baseball is just passing us by. Sure in the last several years they have been more consistent then us but historically I believe we are still the better baseball program. But they did a nice renovation to their press boxes and all and now have another plan drawn up and its not like they are bringing thousands of more fans compared to UL. I guess this bugs me on a more personal basis too since I live up here in the middle of the buzzards fans.
