Hey, just got back from the football banquet. They announced the recruit that no one knew of. His name is Gerron Blount, a CB from Texas. Rivals.com doesnt have anything on, so I dont know what the deal is with him yet. All I know was he was being heavily recruited by Texas Tech, Baylor, and Ok State. Apparently one of our recruiters stuck with him, then we just made an offer out of the blue and he accepted. Again, i dont know much about him, but that is the mystery guy.

Rivals did not have him rated by stars but was on their site. He seemed to have a super junior season. He rushed for 1200yds. 12.0 avg., 28 catches and 6 TD's, and 13 int's on D. He was also the 2A MVP of Texas. He seems to be an all round athlete playing many positions QB, TB, WR, and DB.

Well He's definitely going to a school where they develop some Talented DB's with Tillman, Taylor, Spann, and CC Brown in the last few years. More importantly as a student here, I hope he enjoys his time spent at UL.

Where was Blount originally committed to? I have read he was offered by Houston and Tex TEch, but I didnt see where his original verbal was
