Northside

Just wanted to see what everyone thinks about the idea of trying to get a pipeline started with Northside in basketball. I have seen the success we have had with the talent from STM in Ross Mouton and Brad Boyd recently...if we can begin to gain some of these players from the northside as well as the southside of Lafayette the need to travel great distances to find talent for our program will not be needed as much.

I've heard that they have a really good center on their basketball team!

I'm curious to know why there wasn't more talent recruited from Northside High this past football season? As good as they performed, no one player capable of playing at UL? Just think of how it would help fill our stadium to get more of these local talents to stay in Lafayette! Did you notice the crowd support they had?

the center for northside is Perry Stevenson. He has offers from Kentucy, LSU, Texas, Kansas, and Texas Tech. He is 6'9 175. He needs to put on like 40 pounds but he is a very good prospect. Tonight his Northside team is playing STM with a good prospect also in La'Ryan Gray. He is 6'6 about 190. Cold shot. He has offers from Lamar, Alabama, and others. They are both Juniors. Not sure if ULL has talked to them or not. They will both be in the running for LA mr. basketball next year along with Reserve's Demond Carter and Brother Martin's DJ Augustine

Thanks, I love recruiting and that is want i want to be when I get older. Also would not mind controlling a professional team. Tonight I think 7:30 STM vs. Northside @ STM come check it out.
